FUN FLY IS A GO ON JUNE 14!
Bring your lawn chairs and cross your fingers for good weather!
The club will be attending fun fly/static demo Cedarbrae Community
Association in the city’s SW. I have word that flying is on the menu, with
aircraft of nearly any type, electric, gas, helis, etc. 1-3pm is the time, we
are encouraged to bring our families, have a burger and a good
time.
For anyone wishing to
fly that day, we likely have a soccer field sized area to do so – use your
discretion on what types of aircraft to fly! You must also have a valid MAAC
membership to fly that day. Anything and everything you can drag out for
static display is of course welcome. This is a great opportunity to get the club together, fly, and show off our stuff.
Update! The
field search commitee is making some headway, and we have a lot of
"lines in the water" so to speak. Stay tuned, we have some exciting
leads that hopefully will turn into a flying facility.
Important news: On May 15, 2007 Westwinds R/C Aviation Society closed its doors at the Lafarge location. We will keep you informed about our relocation efforts.
The Club has been working very hard to secure a new lease at a different location. Stay tuned to this page for details!
